There are many types of wholesale business out there. You have drop ship businesses where you sell products online, with direct marketing and another company packs and ships the product. You also have eBay businesses where you sell wholesale products or retail products on eBay and collect the money and ship the products. You can even combine eBay and drop shipping.
You have other type of business that you can sell name brand products like xBox or iPods or even clothing that you might get directly from manufacturers or from liquidations or closeouts. These products are great for selling online or from home or at flea markets or swap meets. Other products here might be wholesale jewelry and apparel as well as electronics and other name brand goods.
The problem with these and other businesses is that you constantly need new customers to survive. In other words, you don’t have on customer buying the same products over and over again. Each sale is a new customer and customer acquisition is expensive. I like businesses where you get the customer once and sell them for years, sometimes the same product. It is easier, constant, and bankable. Always look for Repeating Business” when you look to acquire, buy or start a business.
